• WHAT WE FOCUS ON
The story comes first.
The camera matters, but it is not the starting point. First comes the idea, the message and what you want people to take away from it.
Before filming starts, the idea needs to be clear.
What are we trying to say? Who are we talking to? What should the video feel like?
Once those answers are clear, it becomes much easier to make the right choices on set.
1
This is where the idea becomes something you can actually see.
It could be an interview, a commercial, a music video, branded content or a larger film project.
Every production is different, so the setup should fit the story instead of forcing the story to fit the setup.
2
A lot of the story comes together in the edit.
Some moments need more time. Others need to move faster. Sometimes the best choice is simply knowing what to leave out.
The goal is to keep the piece moving without making it feel rushed or over-edited.
3
Color and sound can change the whole mood of a video.
The image might need to feel warm, clean, dramatic or more natural. The sound should feel just as intentional.
Both should support the story without calling too much attention to themselves.
4
One shoot can often give you more than one piece of content.
A main video can also become shorter edits, social clips, teasers or campaign pieces.
That way, the production keeps working beyond the first video.
